Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD R. NAYLER With his family by his side, Mr. Gerald (Jerry) Nayler, aged 84 years, of Pinawa, Manitoba, dearly beloved husband of the late Grace (Middleton), suddenly passed away on Monday, September 30, 2009 at the Health Science Centre, Winnipeg, MB and was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters, Mary-Ann (Don), Sherry, Laurie (Les) and Lisa; his son Warren (Bernice); grandchildren, Angela, Carl, David, Sandra, Keith, Aidan, Kerry, Kim, Hayley, Mark, Ryan, Timothy and Melissa and great- grandchildren, Emily, Reanna, Sage, Ty and Taevia; brother-in-law Harold Middleton and sister-in-law Joy Middleton and their families. Jerry was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace in November, 2003. Jerry was born near Timmins, ON and was the first non-aboriginal baby in Red Lake, ON. He spent his youth in Red Lake and worked at the area gold mines before enlisting in the RCAF. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and became a Prof. Elect. Eng., employed by Ferranti Packard in Toronto, ON and London, England. Moving closer to his Red Lake area home, he was employed by AECL until his retirement in Pinawa. Jerry and Grace lovingly built a family cottage on Wabaskang Lake, Perrault Falls, ON. The cottage was his favourite place to be and he unselfishly shared it with family and friends. Jerry, as he was affectionately known, was a faithful, kind-hearted and generous husband, father and friend, strong in his faith and active in his church. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Pinawa Alliance Church with Pastor Brad Nelson and Mrs. Jane Petkau officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinawa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Jerry's memory may be made to Gideons International or a charity of one's choice.
